Introducing Jarheads

Breathes deeply...

Alright, I can do this.

My last successful, full-size game release was Dysnomia, back in 2010. After that, I released another Xbox Live Indie Games title called Run! in early 2011.

After taking a break in 2012, I realised that I wanted to improve as a developer and become a part of the growing indie "scene". Spending all my time locked away working on long development projects wasn't the way to go.

After an extremely successful 2013, I'm now ready to talk about my Next Big Thing™ - Jarheads

Jarheads started life when I experimented with a vertex-colored voxel engine during a break in my One Game a Month attempt in 2013.

It grew into a multiplayer realtime squad-based shooter - but it will also have a full campaign mode that will be both single player and online co-op.

The game is designed around mouse controls and is being developed simultaneously for Windows, MacOS and Linux using the awesome Monogame.

At the time of writing, Jarheads is in a closed-alpha state with a few playtesters trying out the multiplayer aspects of the game. I'm quickly working toward opening the game up to more players at the end of April.

I've made promises of this kind before, but I really want to turn this into a weekly development blog. So that's a statement of intent!
